Amiloride is used with hydrochlorothiazide to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), certain heart problems (congestive heart failure) or swelling (edema) that may be caused by severe liver problems.Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Controlling congestive heart failure helps prevent a worsening of the disease and its symptoms, such as tiredness, difficulty breathing, and swelling (edema).This medication contains two drugs, amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide. Each medication is a water pill (diuretic) that works by increasing the amount of urine you make, allowing your body to get rid of extra salt and water. Amiloride also prevents the kidneys from getting rid of too much potassium.How to use Amiloride-Hydrochlorothiazide OralTake this medication by mouth, usually once daily on an empty stomach or as directed by your doctor. If stomach upset occurs, take it with food, but consistently take it either with or without food.If you take this drug too close to bedtime, you may need to wake up to urinate. Therefore, it is best to take this medication at least 4 hours before your bedtime.The dosage is based on your age, medical condition and response to therapy. If you have severe liver or kidney problems, your dosage may need to be adjusted.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day. It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick. It may take up to several weeks before the full benefit of this drug takes effect.Do not stop taking this medication without first consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.Inform your doctor if your condition worsens (e.g., your routine blood pressure readings increase).

Sibelium ( Generic Flunarizine )

SIBELIUM is indicated in: Prophylaxis of classic (with aura) or common (without aura) migraine. Symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo (due to a diagnosed functional disorder of the vestibular system). DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USEMigraine ProphylaxisStarting Dose:Two 5 mg capsules (10 mg) SIBELIUM at night in patients less than 65 years of age and 5 mg daily in patients older than 65 years. If, during this treatment depressive, extrapyramidal or other unacceptable symptoms occur, administration should be discontinued. If, after 2 months of this initial treatment, no significant improvement is observed, the patient should be considered a non-responder and administration should be discontinued.Maintenance Treatment:If a patient is responding satisfactorily and if a maintenance treatment is needed, the dose should be decreased to 5 days treatment at the same daily dose with two successive medicine free days every week.Even if the prophylactic maintenance treatment is successful and well tolerated, it should be interrupted after 6 months and it should be re-initiated only if the patient relapses.VertigoThe same dosage should be used as for migraine, but the starting treatment should not be given longer than needed for symptom control, which generally takes less than two months.After one month of treatment for chronic vertigo or after two months treatment for paroxysmal vertigo, no significant improvement is observed, the patient should be considered a non-responder and administration should be discontinued.

Distaclor ( Ceclor, Generic Cefaclor )

Cefaclor is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia and infections of the ears, lungs, throat, urinary tract, and skin. Cefaclor is in a class of medications called cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.Cefaclor comes as a capsule, an extended-release (long-acting) tablet, and a suspension (liquid) to take by mouth. The capsule and liquid are usually taken every 8 hours (three times a day) or every 12 hours (twice a day). The long-acting tablet is usually taken every 12 hours (twice a day), within 1 hour of eating a meal. To help you remember to take cefaclor, take it around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take cefaclor exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Shake the liquid well before each use to mix the medication evenly.The capsules and tablets should be swallowed whole and taken with a full glass of water. Swallow the long-acting tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them.Take cefaclor until you finish the prescription, even if you feel better. Stopping cefaclor too soon may cause bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics.

Tocid ( Pepcid, Generic Famotidine )

Famotidine is used to to treat ulcers (sores on the lining of the stomach or small intestine); gastroesophageal reflux disease [GERD, a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and injury of the esophagus (tube that connects the mouth and stomach)]; and conditions where the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (tumors in the pancreas or small intestine that cause increased production of stomach acid). Over-the-counter famotidine is used to prevent and treat heartburn due to acid indigestion and sour stomach caused by eating or drinking certain foods or drinks. Famotidine is in a class of medications called H2 blockers. It works by decreasing the amount of acid made in the stomach.Prescription famotidine comes as a tablet and a suspension (liquid) to take by mouth. It is usually taken once daily at bedtime or two to four times a day. Over-the-counter famotidine comes as a tablet, a chewable tablet, and a capsule to take by mouth. It is usually taken once or twice a day. To prevent symptoms, it is taken 15 to 60 minutes before eating foods or drinking drinks that may cause heartburn. Follow the directions on your prescription or the package label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take famotidine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often or for a longer time than prescribed by your doctor.Shake the liquid well for 5 to 10 seconds before each use to mix the medicine evenly.Swallow the tablets and capsules with a full glass of water.Thoroughly chew the chewable tablets before swallowing them. Swallow the chewed tablet with a full glass of water.Do not take more than two tablets, capsules, or chewable tablets of over-the -counter famotidine in 24 hours and do not take over-the-counter famotidine for longer than 2 weeks unless your doctor tells you that you should. If symptoms of heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach last longer than 2 weeks, stop taking over-the-counter famotidine and call your doctor.
