Triamcinolone is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions. It is also used to relieve the discomfort of mouth sores.Triamcinolone comes in ointment, cream, lotion, liquid, and aerosol (spray) in various strengths for use on the skin and as a paste for use in the mouth. It usually is applied two to four times a day. For mouth sores, it is applied at bedtime and, if necessary, two or three times daily, preferably after meals. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use triamcinolone exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Do not apply it to other areas of your body or wrap or bandage the treated area unless directed to do so by your doctor.Wash or soak the affected area thoroughly before applying the medicine, unless it irritates your skin. Apply the ointment, cream, liquid, or lotion sparingly in a thin film and rub it in gently. To use the lotion or liquid on your scalp, part your hair, apply a small amount of the medicine on the affected area, and rub it in gently. Protect the area from washing and rubbing until the lotion or liquid dries. You may wash your hair as usual but not right after applying the medicine. To apply an aerosol, shake well and spray on the affected area holding the container about 3 to 6 inches away. Spray for about 2 seconds to cover an area the size of your hand. Take care not to inhale the vapors. If you are spraying near your face, cover your eyes.To apply the paste, press a small amount on the mouth sore without rubbing until a thin film develops. You may need to use more paste if the mouth sore is large. If the mouth sore does not begin to heal within 7 days, call your doctor.Avoid prolonged use on the face, in the genital or rectal areas, and in skin creases and armpits unless directed to do so by your doctor. If you are using triamcinolone on your face, keep it out of your eyes. (NB. Levothyroxine is also available without a brand name, ie as the generic medicine.) Levothyroxine is the same as the hormone thyroxine, which is produced naturally by the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland produces and releases two thyroid hormones: thyroxine (T4) and tri-iodothyronine (T3). Tri-iodothyronine is the more active thyroid hormone, and thyroxine is converted into T3 in various parts of the body. These hormones are responsible for maintaining a normal rate of metabolism in the body. When the thyroid gland is unable to produce normal amounts of thyroxine, the level of both thyroid hormones in the blood decreases (hypothyroidism). This results in a reduced rate of metabolism, leading to symptoms such as weight gain, intolerance to cold and tiredness.Levothyroxine tablets are given to replace the thyroxine that would normally be produced naturally by the thyroid gland. This returns levels of T3 and T4 to normal.Once the thyroid gland becomes unable to produce thyroxine, it will generally not return to normal function. This means that once thyroxine replacement is started, it usually needs to be taken for the rest of a personĘs life. The daily dose should preferably be taken before breakfast. What is it used for? Underproduction of thyroid hormones by the thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). This medication is used to treat eye conditions (e.g., conjunctivitis). It belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. Fluorometholone works by relieving swelling and itching. How to use Flarex OphtTo apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If you are wearing contact lenses, remove them before using eye drops. Wait at least 15 minutes before replacing your contact lenses.Shake this medicine well before using. Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Hold the dropper directly over your eye and place 1 drop into the pouch. Look downward and gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of your eye (near the nose) and apply gentle pressure. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink and do not rub your eye. Repeat these steps for your other eye if so directed or if your dose is for more than 1 drop.Do not rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after each use.If you are using another kind of eye medication (e.g., drops or ointments), wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments to allow the drops to enter the eye.Use as often as directed by your doctor, usually 2 to 4 times a day. However, your doctor may direct you to use the drops more often for the first 48 hours of treatment. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day.Continue using it for the full time prescribed. Do not stop using this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens after 48 hours.Flarex Opht is used to treat the following:Infection of the Cornea of the Eye due to Herpes Zoster, Inflammation of the Iris - the Colored Part of the Eyeball, Inflammation of the Uvea of the Eye, Inflammation of the Iris and Ciliary Body of the Eye, Inflammation of the Ciliary Body of the Eye, Ulcer of the Cornea of the Eye, Dotted Lesions or Damage on Cornea of Eye, Allergic Conjunctivitis, Inflammation of the Eye, Inflammation of the Eye Following Surgery, Severe Inflammation of the Cornea with Rosacea Involvement, Scratch Wound on Cornea This product is able to be sourced and supplied at excellent prices because of favourable cross border currency conversions. It contains 2 hormones, a progestin and an estrogen. These hormones prevent pregnancy by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation). They also change the womb and cervical mucus, making it more difficult for an egg to meet sperm (fertilization) or for the fertilized egg to attach to the wall of the womb (implantation).Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills have been shown to help make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods (dysmenorrhea), and decrease your risk of ovarian cysts.Use of this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). How to use Desogestrel-Ethinyl Estradiol OralRead the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using this product and each time you get a refill. All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information:Lidocaine belongs to a group of medicines known as local anaesthetics. It works by temporarily blocking the pathway of pain signals along nerves. Pain is caused by the stimulation of pain receptors at the ends of nerves. The stimulation causes sodium to enter the nerve ending, which causes an electrical signal to build up in the nerve. When this electrical signal is big enough, it passes along the nerve to the brain, where the signal is interpreted as pain. Lidocaine works by stopping the sodium entering the nerve ending at the site of the pain. This prevents an electrical signal building up and passing along the nerve fibres to the brain. In this way lidocaine causes numbness and relieves pain at the area it is applied to. Lidocaine medicated plasters are used to treat pain caused by post herpetic neuralgia. Post herpetic neuralgia may develop if nerves are damaged after a shingles infection (herpes zoster infection). This can be a very painful condition and can sometimes last for a long time. Lidocaine medicated plasters are large patches made with a special gel that allows the active ingredient, lidocaine to seep into the skin. The plasters are worn for 12 hours out of 24 on the painful area of skin. The plasters should be applied to cover the painful area of skin immediately after you have taken them out of the sachet and removed the liner from the gel surface. No more than three plasters should be used at the same time. If needed, the plasters may be cut into smaller sizes with scissors to fit the affected area. If you are cutting the plasters do so before removing the liner. What is it used for? Treatment of nerve pain (neuropathic pain) following shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia) in adults. Clotrimazole is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs. Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus. How to use Clotrimazole TopUse this medication on the skin only. Clean and thoroughly dry the area to be treated. Apply this medication to the affected skin, usually twice a day or as directed by your doctor. Dosage and length of treatment depends on the type of infection being treated. Do not apply this more often than prescribed. Your condition will not clear faster, but side effects may be increased.Apply enough medication to cover the affected area and some of the surrounding skin. After applying this medication, wash your hands. Do not wrap, cover or bandage the area unless directed to do so by your doctor.Do not apply this medication in the eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to use it at the same times each day.Continue to use this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear after starting clotrimazole. Stopping the medication too early may allow the fungus to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection.Inform your doctor if your condition persists after 4 weeks of treatment or worsens at any time. Carbamazepine is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat certain types of seizures in patients with epilepsy. It is also used to treat trigeminal neuralgia (a condition that causes facial nerve pain). Carbamazepine extended-release capsules (Equetro brand only) are used to treat episodes of mania (frenzied, abnormally excited or irritated mood) or mixed episodes (symptoms of mania and depression that happen at the same time) in patients with bipolar I disorder (manic-depressive disorder; a disease that causes episodes of depression, episodes of mania, and other abnormal moods).Carbamazepine is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by reducing abnormal excitement in the brain.
This drug is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). This medication is a combination of two drugs (an angiotensin receptor blocker and a thiazide "water pill"/diuretic). Irbesartan blocks the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels, causing them to widen. The thiazide diuretic increases the amount of urine you make, therefore decreasing excess water and salt in your body. High blood pressure reduction helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional. This drug may also be used to treat congestive heart failure and to help protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes. How to use Irbesartan-Hydrochlorothiazide OralTake this medication by mouth, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. You may take this drug with or without food. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it.
